How to Make Arbi Gosht

1.Wash and peel the arbi. After removing the skin cut in to halves and wash.

2.In a pan take little oil and deep fry the arbi until they are golden in colour as fried potatoes.

3.Heat oil and add cinnamon stick, black cardamom and finely chopped onions, fry onions till golden brown.

4.Add the meat and sauté for a minute. Add ginger garlic paste and fry for a few minutes.

5.Add coriander, turmeric and red chilli powder and salt and cook on a low flame. By adding few sprinkles of water in between shall prevent it from burning.

6.Add finely chopped tomatoes and let it cook until tomatoes are soft.

7.Add water to the mutton and mix.

8.Once the water comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and cover lid to and let it cook until mutton is cooked.

9.Add fried arbi pieces and green chillies and simmer for about 5 minutes.

10.Now add water depending on how thin you want the gravy. Mix well and bring to boil, until the Arbi become soft.

11.Garnish it with fresh coriander leaves.
