Airtel vs Reliance Jio data pack at Rs 98: Who offers better plan?

New Delhi: Intensifying the war on telecom tariff started by Reliance Jio, telecom Major Airtel has upgraded its Rs 98 prepaid plan.
The upgraded plan offers prepaid customers 5GB of 4G/ 3G data for 28 days. However, recharge plan is available only in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circle. The Data-heavy pack does not offer prepaid customers unlimited calls and SMS though.

Airtel had also launched another prepaid offer for its Telangana users in November last year. The telecom major gave 1GB of 3G and 4G data every day at a recharge of Rs 198. The recharge had a validity of 28 days.
Meanwhile, Airtel this week announced to offer up to Rs 2,000 cashback over 36 months, on the purchase of Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 smartphones, to its pre-paid customers.
Both 4G smartphones will come bundled with Airtel’s recharge pack of Rs 169 offering 1GB of 4G data per day, and unlimited local and STD calling.
To avail of the offer, Airtel customers will need to purchase Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 smartphones at market price. Their Airtel wallets will be credited by Rs 2,000 in two instalments over a period of 36 months.
