Vivo X21, the smartphone with an under-display fingerprint scanner, will launch in India today at 12:00 PM. The smartphone will be the first with the in-display technology to hit the Indian markets. Pre-bookings for the device have already started on Vivo’s official online store and the smartphone will be a Flipkart exclusive device. Vivo X21 features a Super AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio, is powered by Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB of RAM, and a dual rear camera setup.

Vivo X21 specifications

The smartphone features a 6.28-inch Full HD+ (1080x2280pixels) Super AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC with Adreno 512 GPU. It includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 256GB via microSD card). On the camera front, there is a dual rear setup- 12-megapixel primary lens with LED flash and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor. There is a 12-megapixel selfie camera. It is backed by a 3200mAh battery and runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Vivo X21 Price

Vivo X21 was launched in two variants in China- Vivo X21 and Vivo X21 UD. The Vivo X21 without the in-display fingerprint scanner is priced at CNY 2,898 (approximately Rs. 2900) for the 64GB storage model and CNY 3,198 (approximately Rs. 33,000) for the 128GB storage edition. The Vivo X21 UD is priced at CNY 3,598 (approximately Rs. 37,000) and we can expect the India pricing to be in the same price bracket.

Vivo X21 offers

The company, ahead of the official launch, has kicked off pre-orders for the Vivo X21 on its own website in India. As a pre-booking amount, Vivo is charging Rs. 2,000 as an advance amount and the company will adjust it against the final price. The Chinese company has also listed a bunch of exclusive pre-book offers.

The pre-book offers include Rs. 1,000 worth gift voucher from fernsnpetals, 5 per cent cashback on SBI credit card, no cost EMI up to 12 months, and up to 280GB additional data from Vodafone coupled with one-year device security offer.
