NEW DELHI: An earthquake on Saturday his Kokrajhar in the northeast state of Assam.

The quake has been measured 5.2 on the Richter scale. The quake stroke the area at around 6.44 am.

Tremors were also felt across in Bhutan. No report of casualty or damage has come from anywhere so far.

The earthquake reportedly originated in Gauripur at 10 km depth.

In August 2017, a moderate intensity earthquake of 3.4 magnitude shook Guwahati in Assam.
