Vote for a candidate who will work for the benefit of society, SNDP tells supporters

KOCHI: Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan on Wednesday urged his supporters to support the candidate, (for the May 28 by poll) who would work for the benefit of the society and cooperate with the policies of the yogam in Chengannur.
“A directive in this regard will be given to the yogam units at Mavelikkara and Chengannur,” he told reporters at Alappuzha after a meeting of the BDJS – the incognito political wing of the SNDP. “Those supporting the SNDP know whom to vote for and we have not openly supported any front,” he added.

Natesan said yogam members would cast their votes without giving any consideration to caste, religion and politics of the candidate.
“Surprisingly, Chengannur is witnessing a triangular fight and I cannot say who will be the winner,” he said.
On Kerala Congress (M) chief K.M. Mani’s decision to support Congress-led UDF candidate, he said his (Mani’s) decision was “very shameful”.
The BDJS’ decision to remain neutral may help the Bharatiya Janata Party to bag more votes.
