CMS DISTRICT LEVEL CHESS TOURNAMENT – 2023

CMS Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Maniyakaranpalayam, Coimbatore, is organizing CMS District-level Chess Tournament at the school premises on October 14th & 15th 2023.
Mr T.A. Venugopal, Secretary of CMS Educational trust stated that, CMS Institutions have always been known for promoting excellence in sports. To commemorate the silver Jubilee celebrations of CMS Vidya Mandir Matriculation Higher Secondary School, a chess tournament is being conducted. The tournament promises to be a keen contest which will bring out the Chess talents in the district.
CMS Vidya Mandir has opened its door to all chess players in Coimbatore. The Tournament features various age categories such as Under-8 / U-10/ U-12 / U-14/ U-16/ U-19/ and an Open Category which has no age restrictions. Total prize money to be won is Rs 1,00,000. There will also be attractive trophies for the players who have secured the first 10 places.
Dr G. Daniel, Principal of CMS Vidya Mandir said that, the school which sends the maximum number of points will get a rolling trophy.
