Profusely bleeding man lands in police commissioner’s office

Coimbatore : The sudden appearance of a profusely bleeding person at the police commissioner’s office took those present there
by surprise.

On inquiry by the sentries, the worker revealed that a group of persons fishing at Valankulam had objected to him fishing there and beaten him up.

The worker Rajarathinam who hailed from Chenglepet had admitted his ailing wife to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. However , she had died.

Since he was not able to return home due to the lock down, he was sleeping in the open and eating at the Amma Canteens.

Choosing to eke out a living through fishing,he had gone to Valankumam. However,those already there had allegedly beaten him up.

With his head and limbs bleeding,Rajarathinam had sought police help to punish the assailants and also arrange for his return to Chenglepet.

He was taken to the Government Hospital for treatment, police said.
