The Union Minister for MSME, Kalraj Mishra, has condemned the attack on the Pathankot air base, and said that terrorists do not want India and Pakistan to maintain good relationships with each other.

Talking to the reporters in Coimbatore, the minister said that the incident could be a fall-out of Narendra Modi’s visit to Pakistan and greeting Nawaz Sherif. “Not only in India and Pakistan, good atmosphere has been created across the globe by Modi’s visit. However the terrorists have targetted the air base and are trying to spoil the relationship between the neighbouring countries,” he said.

He said that terrorists had attempted similar stunts during Vajpayee’s tenure too. he also denied that there was intelligence failure in anticipating such an incident.

About BJP’s debacle in Bihar, followed by the local elections in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka, he said that Bihar was lost due to caste-sentiments. On the disasters in the other states, he said that they were based on local issues.
