Finding the right cuppa coffee can be quite a task isn’t it? Some like it bitter and strong, others love it with a lot of cream and sugar. And some don’t prefer certain flavours and while other prefer a few distinct notes in their coffee. Either way, a good cup of coffee is loved and enjoyed by many. But in the market of mass produced coffee that is available in small sachets and packs, do people really know the different kinds of coffees they can actually have?
The coffee culture is now on a rise; many people like their coffee to be not limited to a standard cappuccino. They want flavorsome, rich, and textured coffee that is almost artisanal, curated from the many coffee farms down south. And now, as there is a strong market for it, many entrepreneurs have come up with cafes that serve the various blends for various palettes. Here are three places in Delhi you can try.
Coffee Bond
Situated in Uday Park, the cafe serves your everyday drinks but using beans that are curated from all over the world, South America, Africa, Karnataka etc. Their idea is to come up new coffees, all graded, which give their coffees a range of delicious notes.
“We change our espresso base every month, and we let our customers and coffee lovers know about what we are using,” says Narendra Shukla, owner of Coffee Bond. “Indian consumer is highly evolved now, I wanted to bring the coffee evolution to India and we were blown away with the response,” he added.
Blue Tokai Coffee Roasters
“Handpicked, Indian specialty coffee roasted fresh and delivered straight to your door” and not just at your door but also at their multiple cafes in Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, Goa. Founded by Matt Chitharanjan and Namrata Asthana, the cafes serve a host of coffees made from various estates in India. You can also go for specific beans from specific farms if you know what you are looking for. If not, the baristas are knowledgeable and will help you out. Go, and take your pick. And what’s more? You can actually watch the coffee being roasted in-house.
Perch Wine & Coffee Bar
