Artist’s house attacked in Palakkad for Kashmir anti-rape illustrations

Thrissur: Artist Durga Malathi’s house in Palakkad was targeted in the wee hours today for her illustrations against Kashmir rape.

Unidentified persons pelted stones at her house and a vehicle parked on the premises at Thrithala, she said on Facebook. She added that she had been targeted on social media using vulgar literature for the last few days after her illustrations, she said in her post. She has been asked to withdraw the illustrations and tender an apology.

Refusing to budge,she said she had not made any remarks against anyone or any religion. If she did not having the freedom to express her feelings, then it was clear that the democracy was in danger, she added.
