Narrow escape for Pinarayi after pilot vehicle hits divider

Kottayam: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had a narrow escape as his vehicle nearly crashed the pilot vehicle which overturned at Malappuram.

The pilot vehicle was ascending a road to Kunnummel when it hit the divider and turned turtle late last night.

This caused roadblock forcing Pinarayi to get out of his vehicle and wait for some time until the road was cleared. The members of his convoy pushed the vehicle to one side to make way for that of Pinarayi to pass.

The injured policemen were taken to Kottappady Government Hospital.
