Kochi: A daring housewife bit off the tip of the tongue of a person who forced a kiss on her at Ernakulam.

The inebriated unmarried youth Ragesh, 30, saw the woman going to the washroom outside her house in the night at Njarakkal near here, police said.

He switched off the power supply to the house to ensure that she would not be able to identify him.

As soon as she came out, he pounced on her to grope and plant a smooch.

The shocked woman tried to free herself. When he overpowered and kissed her, the only option left for her was to bite off his tongue, police said. The panicked youth pushed the woman away and took to heels.

The next morning the woman reached Njarakkal police station with the piece of tongue to lodge a complaint.

The police screened all hospitals and finally zeroed in on the criminal at a private hospital in Ernakulam.
