Kottayam: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday refused to comment on the visit of Union Defense Minister Arun Jaitley.

When asked by reporters on Jaitley’s criticism of the LDF Government, Pinarayi chose to keep quiet. He was returning after all party meeting at Thiruvananthapuram.

On the other hand CPM state Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and M B Rajesh, MP, criticised Jaitley’s visit.

How could the Defense Minister forget the martyrs of armed forces who laid down their lives for the country, Kodiyeri queried. He has selectively chosen to visit only the house of a slain RSS activist Rajesh and other injured RSS activists, he blamed.

This is just for ensuring political mileage, he said. Rajesh said that the law and order situation in Kerala is much better than in States like Gujarat, UP, Madhya Pradesh ruled by BJP.
