Kottayam: There was no lapse on the part of the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital (TMCH) in the treatment of Murugan of Nagercoil in Thiruvananthapuram.

This was stated by a team formed to probe allegations that Murugan was denied ventilator support by the TMCH due to ‘non availability’ of ventilator.

The probe report conducted by the team headed by the Deputy Superintendent Dr Joby John of the TMCH was submitted to the Medical Director.

The report said that two ventilators were reserved for two patients who had undergone surgery at that time. It said that the duty doctor had diagnosed Murugan in the ambulance.

The doctor had offered to use ambu bag to resuscitate Murugan. But those accompanying him did not respond to it.
