A research scholar from Palakkad has turned down a Rs 1 crore Commonwealth Scholarship as he is currently at a crucial stage of his research project.
Arjun Babu (24) of Wadakkancherry had to take the tough decision as he is at a crucial stage of his research project at IBS Centre of Climatic Physics at Pusan in South Korea. He is one of the 19 top candidates selected for the scholarship.
A B. Sc Physics graduate from St Stephens College, New Delhi, Arjun completed his masters in Ocean and Atmospheric Science from Central University, Hyderabad.
