CISCO Networking Academy, Nexmoo Centre of Excellence inaugurated

The CISCO Networking Academy and Nexmoo – Centre of Excellence Lab were inaugurated at PSG Institute of Technology and Applied Research at Neelambur on Friday.
A Memorandum of Understanding to this effect was signed between the college and Nexmoo Solutions (India) Pvt Ltd during a meeting in the presence of L. Gopalakrishnan, Managing Trustee of PSG institutions. This was followed by the inauguration of CISCO Networking Academy by M. Sreevalsan, Head, CISCO Regional Academy Support Centre (South Zone) and PSGiTech-Nexmoo Centre of Excellence (Mobile and loT) by S. Pandiarajan, Managing Director, Nexmoo Solutions.
Under the agreement, Nexmoo centre of Excellency would conduct training programs, workshops and internships for students in mobile application development and internet of things field. Nexmoo has provided PSGiTech a test bed worth Rs. 1,00,000. Nexmoo would hire students based on their projects done in the lab.
CISCO Networking Academy provides a global network of more than 500 Academy Support Centres (ASCs) and Instructor Training Centres (ITCs). By being a member of Cisco Networking Academy, PSGiTech can conduct CCNA certification courses. The two-semester course has four modules, second and third year students were enrolled for the certification programme.
