Foreign vessel hits boat, 6 fishers hurt

Kochi: Six fishermen had a miraculous escape when a foreign ship reportedly collided with their fishing boat off Kollam coast on Saturday.
The incident occurred at about 12.30 pm, when their boat ‘Velankanni’ was 39 nautical miles off the coast. Another boat that was nearby was used to rescue them to safety. Sources said the ship sailed past after hitting the boat. The Coast Guard has been asked to trace the foreign vessel.
