Thirty eight persons are undergoing treatment for Dengue and two for Swine Flu at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital. According to the Resident Medical Officer of the Hospital, Dr. R. Soundravel, out of the 114 persons admitted for fever, two were tested positive for Swine Flu and 38 for Dengue. “There has been a drop in the number of Dengue cases in the last two weeks,” he added.

He appealed to the people to come to the hospital immediately in case of fever. “Any fever, whether Dengue or Swine Flu, can be cured completely, if people consult a doctor at the initial stages itself,” he added.
