Puthiya Tamizhakam president Dr K Krishnasamy has expressed concern over the silence of major political
parties on the observation of National Commission for Scheduled Caste (NCSC) that medical aspirant Anitha’s suicide could be due to external pressure.

He said that he expressed his suspicion on similar lines, as Anitha had planned to join an agriculture course as she did not get medical admission. But then parties had criticised him and even questioned his integrity, he told mediapersons here.

NCSC Vice-Chairman L Murugan has now said ‘external forces’ could have influenced the girl to take such an extreme step and this should be proved, he added.

Krishnaswamy said he had submitted memoranda to the Central and State governments seeking CBI probe into the matter. He said he would approach the High Court if needed.

The party annual conference and state executive would be held in Chennai
on October 6, he said.
