39 dengue, 102 fever cases in CMCH

As many as 39 people are undergoing treatment for dengue fever in special wards and 102 for fever in normal wards in Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) according to Resident Medical Officer R Soundravel.
Compared to the last two weeks, the number of dengue cases were less, he said.

Those with fever were undergoing various blood tests. Based on the results would they be shifted to special wards, hospital sources said. Authorities were continuing their awareness campaigns and corporation officials were making regular visits to identified hotspots.

People are advised to cover water bodies in their areas.
