Lawyers boycott courts in Coimbatore

Around 5,000 advocates boycotted the proceedings in the district courts, seeking the withdrawal of the directive to vacate the Bar Association office on the High Court’s Madurai Bench complex.
They also demanded that the suspension orders issued by the Bar Council of India against 14 advocates be revoked.
While 3,000 advocates boycotted the courts in Coimbatore city, around 2,000 of them stayed away from the courts in Valparai, Pollachi and Mettupalayam.
