Square One, the outreach programme conducted as part of NIT Trichy’s annual techno-managerial fest ‘Pragyan’, is coming to Coimbatore this year. It extends Pragyan’s ideals of celebrating technology and empowering innovation by spreading scientific awareness among youth.

This edition of Square One is being organised here on October 7 and 8 at Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology. It will have three events – Memory Challenge to test memory power, Marketing Hub to test marketing skills and strategies and Hunt the Code, which is all about solving programming problems by deciphering codes.

The events are open to all and the participation is free of cost, with exciting goodies and cash prizes. Workshops on 3D printing and rapid prototyping aim to teaching students the basics in printing and design and IoT – Smart Grid Automation to help them make their own IoT device.

No prerequisite knowledge is needed to attend the workshops which will provide hands-on experience as well as a certification from Pragyan, NIT Trichy.

Pragyan is the first student-run organisation with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 20121:2012 certifications.
