Father, son among 3 killed in road mishap

Kozhikkode: In a pre-dawn mishap, three persons, including a father and son, were killed when their car rammed the pillar of Kochi Metro at Aluva in Kochi.

Rajendran Prasad, 56, son Arun Prasad, and his daughter’s father-in-law Chandran Nair, 52, were those killed, police said.

The incident occurred at 2.30 am when they were returning after seeing Prasad’s son-in-law​ off at the airport at Nedumbassery. After hitting the pillar, the car mounted went over the divider and turned turtle. Rajendran Prasad, who was driving, died on the spot, while others succumbed to injuries in the hospital, police said.

Rajendra Prasad and his son were employed with Malayala Manorama.
