Five injured as bus falls sideways

Five passengers were injured, when a private bus in which they were travelling to Pathanamthitta in Kerala, fell sideways on the bypass near Madukkarai.

The bus, with 34 passengers, was coming from Bengaluru when the mishap happened at Bodipalayam around 4.30 a.m., police said.

Passersby, including those in vehicles, helped the bus passengers to come of the bus and admitted five injured persons to two different hospitals, they said

Other stranded passengers were taken to their destination by another bus.
