Kodanadu estate murder: Bail petition of two accused kept pending

The District Court in Kothagiri on Thursday kept the bail petitions submitted by two accused in the murder of a security guard of Kodanadu Estate, belonging to former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, pending for want of supporting documents.

As the petitions came up for hearing, the Judge, P. Vadamalai, found two documents, surety by a blood relative and guarantee by a government employee, were missing.

Directing the duo-Manoj Samy and Deepu-to produce the same, the judge posted the case for January 18.

Of the 10 arrested in the murder of Om Bahadur on April 23 last, eight were granted bail and all of them were present at the court. They were also asked to appear on January 18.
