As part of his ‘Namakku Naame’ tour of the state, MK Stalin danced with the members of the Kotha and Toda tribe in a village near Ninth Mile. He also promised to raise the subsidy on tea to Rs.5 if his party is voted to power.

The members of the tribes were dressed in their traditional attire. Stalin, sporting a long garland, danced with them in circles. Addressing a gathering at Charring Cross, Stalin said that he will raise the subsidy from Rs.2 to Rs.5 per kilo if his party wins the elections.

He also promised to remove the ban imposed by AIADMK on Master Plan, which prohibited the construction of permanent structures on the hills of Nilgiris. Accusing the present government of not paying enough attention to promoting tourism, he said that due to the ban, the hills remained poor in infrastructure facilities.
