Valuables from baggage of travellers at Kozhikkode airport go ‘missing’

Kochi: Robbery of travellers at Kozhikkode International airport continues unabated. Steps taken by security agencies have not turned out to be a deterrent to the robbers.

Four passengers lost their belongings, including money, on Thursday night and Friday morning. Initially, those traveling in Air India were targeted. Now it has extended to other operators.

Two of the victims had travelled on a private flight.One passenger lost his expensive mobile phone and another cash.

Both had travelled from Mumbai. Bags of two others from Dubai were found slashed. Airport authorities are in a difficult situation as the surveillance cameras show nothing to trace the criminals.
