Elephants sighted, tourists warned

Officials of the Forest Department have warned the tourists from venturing near Valparai’s Nallamudi View Point, after a huge herd of elephants was spotted in the region.
A considerably large herd of more than 20 elephants has moved to the area and the forest department has asked the tourists to stay away from the jungles and the view point.
The caution notice was issued in order to avoid unnecessary man-animal confrontation and disasters.
