SP quizzed in Varapuzha custodial death case

Kochi: A high-level police team questioned Superintendent of Police A V George in connection with the custodial death of Sreejit in Varapuzha near here.
The team led by Inspector General, Ernakulam Range, S Sreejit, undertook the questioning on the basis of confession made by Crispin Sam, North Paravur circle inspector who was arrested the other day.

The police team will analyse the telephone data of the police officials.
Sreejit was taken into custody as per the direction of George on the basis of complaint made by the relatives of
Vasudevan who had committed suicide.
Vasudevan’s kin said he took the extreme step unable to endure the insult meted out to him by some people who abused him and threatened him after Vasudevan’s fight with a neighbour.
