Housing Board seals Thomas Park apartments in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) sealed 31 houses in Thomas Park near Race Course on Tuesday as part of its demolition drive.
TNHB had constructed 422 houses in Thomas Park in 1965. Government employees were residing there. In 2013, the board decided to demolish the apartments due to their poor condition and notices had been sent to the tenants.

Though a case against demolishment was disposed, some of the occupants had not handed over the keys to the department.Board officials sealed the locked houses.
