‘Kaala’ screening issue in Karnataka will be solved, says actor Vivek

Coimbatore : Tamil actor Vivek today expressed the hope that the problem regarding screening of Rajnikanth starrer ‘Kaala’ in Karnataka would find a solution, as for other films in the past.

Many films had encountered similar problems and got them resolved and in this case also a solution would be found, Vivek told reporters.

On Tamil Nadu Government’s announcement about banning plastic in the State from next year, Vivek, who is also the founder of Green Kalam, said it was a good and welcome step, which would help reduce both environmental and soil pollution.

He said he started the sapling plantation programme in 2010 on the advice of late President A P J Abdul Kalam. So far 28.18 lakh saplings of the targeted 1 crore had been planted.

There was good awareness among the youth and students for the plantation programme, due to which green cover would go up, resulting in more rains, he said.
