KOCHI: Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday said that action would be taken against the offender in the incident where ADGP’s Sudhesh Kumar’s driver Gavaskar was assaulted. “Nobody is above law. If anyone acts against law, action will be taken immediately,” the Chief Minister told reporters after Gavaskar’s wife Reshma called on him.

The Chief Minister said necessary steps would be taken that such incidents do not happen again. Later, Pinarayi held discussion with South zone ADGP Anil in this regard.

On Thursday, Sudhesh Kumar’s wife and daughter reported got angry with Gavaskar as he came late to pick them up after their morning walk. The ADGP’s daughter Snigdha verbally abused him after getting into the car and then hit him.

Immediately Gavaskar approached a police station and filed a complaint. Snigdha too later filed a case of harassment against Gavaskar.
