KOCHI: Actor-turned-politician K.B. Ganesh Kumar’s father R. Balakrishna Pillai is trying to arrive at a compromise in order to bring an end to the assault case against his son.

Ganesh Kumar and his driver assaulted a youth near Anchal in Kollam a few day ago for not giving way for his car.

Balakrishna Pillai, who is chairman of the Kerala Congress (B), approached the local leaders of Nair Service Society (NSS) to intervene to arrive at a compromise.

The youth, Ananthakrishnan’s mother Sheena P. Nath, had given a statement before the magistrate accusing the MLA of assaulting her son for not giving way to Ganesh’s car. Following her statement ad possibilities of the MLA’s arrest, attempts of compromise are being carried out by Balakrishnan Pillai.

Ananthakrishnan’s father Gopalakrishnan told reporters that it was too early to say anything on the issue.
