In an initiative to help people know about public utility projects, there will be boards displaying specifications of each one detailing standards and safety measures.

Citizen’s Voice Coimbatore with the help of District Collector as well as Corporation Commissioner have initiated this, particularly for Public Works Department and highway projects to ensure strict adherence to the directions of the apex court

Recently, the Supreme Court issued specific directions, that in all government public utility infrastructure such as a community halls, auditoriums and bridges should have prominent display of relevant information at the site itself.

The information would detail layout of the finalised design of the construction, name, address and contact number of the contractor, name and contact information of the officials who would execute the project, commencement, duration and tentative date of completion of construction.

The objective is to keep public,who are stakeholders, informed and enable them offer suggestions for bettering execution.
