Coimbatore : Shakti Sena, a fringe outfit, on Monday appealed to the Tamil Nadu Government to prevent Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan from entering the State in the wake of the ongoing Sabarimala issue.
In a petition to District Collector TN Hariharan, a group of sena members accused Vijayan of preventing the devotees from entering the temple using the police. This had led to protests from BJP and other organisations.
Vijayan is expected to visit Chennai for the unveiling the statue of former Chief Minister and DMK president late M Karunanidhi on December 16. The Government should take steps to stop his entry into the State, it said.
The future course of action would be decided later, Sena sources said.
