Central govt orders extension of CBI Director Praveen Sood’s tenure for another year
Coimbatore : The district collector K Rajamani today inspected the new 300 voter-verifiable paper audit trail (VVPAT) machines replaced by the manufacturers by BEL for the faulty machines.
The district has in store over 7,800 EVMs, nearly 4,000 control units and about 3,700 VVPATs at present, official sources said.
With the Lok Sabha elections fast approaching, all the machines were kept in safe custody at DD Health service office in the city.
The inspection was carried out inthe presence of a few representatives of political parties.
