Forest fire rages at Marudamalai again

A forest fire was raging on the north-western hillside of the Marudamalai range in Coimbatore Saturday and forest department teams were trying to bring it under control till late tonight.
The hillside is at the back of the Bharathiyar University Campus and not far from the famous Marudamalai Murugan Temple.
According to a forest department source, the cause of the fire, which is the second such blaze on the Marudamalai range in recent weeks, will be known only tomorrow morning.
