In an effort to step up pressure on the 40 MPs from Tamil Nadu and Pudhucherry to seek the removal of ban on Jallikkatu and Rekala race before Pongal, the Federation of Tamil Nadu Agriculturists Association (FTAA) has decided to hoist a green flag on November 25 at Kangeyam.

According to the association secretary S. Nallasamy, the flag is a reminder for the MPs to demand the law during the winter session of Parliament, which begins on November 26.

The association has threatened to launch a black flag protest against the elected MPs from December 24 onwards, if the ban is not revoked by December 23, which is the last day of the winter session.
