Assam youth held for viewing and posting child porno videos in Coimbatore

Coimbatore, Jan 4 : A 23-year old youth, hailing from Assam, was arrested Saturday under POCSO Act in Pollachi in the district, on charges of viewing and uploading child porno photographs and video on social media including Facebook.
Based on a complaint that the youth was viewing porno videos and uploading, All Woman Police station in Pollachi, took Randa Basumatary,
working in a tiles shop into their custody, police said.
During interrogation, he said to have confessed that he was in the habit of viewing such videos and also used to transfer them to his friends’ phones. He had also uploaded such videos in Facebook page, police said.
Registering cases under POCSO Act and IT Act, police arrested Basumatary and lodged in the Central Jail.
Investigations are on to nab others who were viewing the videos posted by the accused.
