The Coimbatore-Bengaluru Jet Airways flight, which was supposed to take off from Coimbatore yesterday night left only in the morning today because there were no pilots to fly the plane.

The flight from Chennai landed at Coimbatore at 10 P.M yesterday. At 10.45 P.M, it was supposed to head to Bengaluru from Coimbatore. But the flight didn’t budge from the runway because there were no pilots to fly it. When the airport authorities were contacted, they said, “Since there are no pilots, the flight will take off by 11 AM tomorrow. All the pilots have left because their shifts had ended.”

The airport authorities had arranged for accommodations for the passengers at a private hotel. The flight finally took off at 11 AM when the pilot arrived.
