Mobile planetarium comes to Camford International School

Space Trek Planetarium had set up a mobile planetarium show for the students of Grade III to XI at the Camford International School. The mobile planetarium show gave the students an opportunity to experience the universe in 3-D form.

Students of Grade III experienced the module ‘Dinosaur Unearthened,’ which explained the devastating scenarios of pre-historic earth. Students of Grades IV and V watched sizing up space module. “I have never seen such amazing things in my life earlier. Watching the volcanic eruption before my eyes at this Space Trek Planetarium was so exciting,” Palak Bothra of Grade IV of the Camford International School said, after watching the 3-D Planetarium Show.

After watching the show Nivruth Adithya of Grade V felt as if he was transported to space and back. “It was a totally new and a different experience for me. For a few moments I felt as if I was in space.” Nivruth Adithya said.

Students of Grade VI were shown the module titled ‘First and the Farthest’. It brought to light the first rocket that was invented by man. It also educated the students about man’s first mission to the moon. This module also celebrates humanity’s great accomplishments in the space race. Students of Grade VII to XI learned about black holes, rocket propulsion, and the increasing light pollution.

In all, the 3-D Planetarium Show was an educative and an entertaining experience for students of the Camford International School. Arul Ramesh, Chairman of the Camford International School; Poongothai Arul Ramesh, Correspondent of the school; and Principal S.G. Kavita watched the show along with the students.
