Police are on the look out for miscreants, who had created fake e-mail id of Nilgiris District Collector Innocent Divya and asked senior senior officials to collect free gifts sent through on-line platforms.

As some of the officials, who had received such e-mails, contacted the collector and informed about the gifts being sent through Amazon and Flipcart, she immediately denied any knowledge about such messages.

Innocent Divya immediately alerted the Superintendent of Police, Sashi Mohan, who had initiated an inquiry into the incident.

When contacted, the collector told reporters that she had asked the officials and general public not to believe in such e-mails, which were fake crated by some miscreants.
