Yuvaraj, accused in the murder of an engineering student Gokulraj, was today produced before TANPID Court in connection with the emu contract cheating case.

Yuvaraj, lodged in the Central Jail, Vellore, was brought to the Court, amidst tight security involving nearly 100 police personnel.

TANPID (Tamil Nadu Protection of Interest of Depositors Act) Judge Christopher posted the hearing for December 21 and ordered the accused to appear in person without fail.

The accused is being taken back to Vellore. A firm in Erode district, where Yuvaraj was the manager, had collected over Rs.2.1 crore from nearly 170 depositors from the region, on the promise of supplying emu as part of contract farming system.
