Attempt to burn Rajinikanth effigy

Police arrested members of Bharath Sena for allegedly trying to a burn effigies of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan here on Wednesday.

C.D. Sekar, the North District Head of the Party, stated that while most of the people have supported and contributed for Chennai floods, many Tamil cinema actors who have benefited by the Tamil people have not contributed enough.

“People like Rajini and Kamal are superstars now because of Tamil People and yet they have denied support to them,” he alleged.

It may be noted that Rajinikanth had contributed Rs. 10 lakh and many persons were agitated as they thought that the funds were less.

The members tried to burn effigies; however they were stopped by police and were arrested for involving in the act.
