Teen drowns in river

In a tragic incident, a 15-year-old boy from Udumalpet drowned in the Nallar River at Arthanaripalayam on Saturday.
According to sources, the boy, M. Dineshkumar, a Class X student of Gandhi Kala Nilayam near Karattumadam, was swimming at the meeting point of rivers Nallar and Palar at Arthanaripalayam on Saturday morning along with his classmate Ajithkumar.
Dineshkumar was suddenly caught in a current and drowned. The Valparai sub division police have retrieved the body and have started the investigation.
