9 sentenced to life for murder

A district court in nearby Tirupur today sentenced nine persons to undergo life imprisonment for murdering a farmer a year ago.
The prosecution case was that Swaminathan, a farmer in Kovilpalayampudur in Pongalur in Tirupur district was done to death by nine persons, by leathal weapons on January 3, 2014.
The case was on trial in the 2nd Additional District Court and the Judge, A Muhamed Jiyaputheen, sentenced the accused to undergo life imprisonment.
