The winter weather makes it the perfect time to feast on something spicy. The anniversary celebrations this time at Afghan Grill, The Residency Towers, is with kebabs and grilled sizzlers. Known to celebrate in style, this in-house open air, pool facing restaurant is organizing their kebabs and grill festival from December 20 to 30.

The menu has a perfect mix of kebabs and sizzlers in both Indian and Western grill. Executive Chef, S. Ashok Kumar, The Residency Towers, recommends that you try their seafood sizzlers and kebabs. The Chef Special Seafood Nazranay that is a combination of king prawn, white snapper squid and king fish, is a must try if you are a fan of sea food. If you like something desi, Tandoori style kebab platter that includes a combination of chicken, mutton, fish and prawn is worth a try.

Vegetarians need not get disappointed as the choices are aplenty. The health conscious can opt for the pesto marinated grilled cheese sizzler. Their Western vegetarian platter looks colourful and it is great to taste as well. Chef Ashok tells us that it is a combination of pesto marinated grilled cheese, vegetable shashlik, duplexes mushroom barbeque and pineapple.

“Masalas that are used to prepare the sizzlers and kebabs are all made in-house. After a gap of a decade we are happy to host the sizzlers and kebabs food festival. We have on offer 16 non-vegetarian varieties and 13 vegetarian varieties of sizzlers and kebabs that will be served for dinner. It is a la carte,” Shaikh Mukhtar, Master Chef, The Residency Towers, Chennai says. Master Chef Shaikh is in Coimbatore to work with the team on the sizzlers and kebabs.
