65 year old killed in bike-van mishap

A 65-year-old woman who was hit by a minivan from behind succumbed to her injuries.

According to sources, the deceased, A. Amutha, a resident of Siddhapudur, was travelling to P.N. Palayam. On the day of the incident, Amutha was riding pillion with her granddaughter V. Vinitha (20). They were hit from behind by a minivan near Avarampalayam Road. Amutha died on the way to the hospital and Vinitha escaped with minor injuries.

A case has been registered with the traffic wing of the city police and investigations are on.
