Exporters thank CM for new Collectorate inauguration

Tirupur Exporters’ Association (TEA) today thanked Chief Minister Jayalalithaa for inaugurating the integrated District Collectorate office building in Tirupur today.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, TEA President, A. Shaktivel has said that exports from the knitwear hub of Tirupur have touched Rs.21,000 crore in the last year. In 2011-12, it was only Rs.12,500 crore.

The export figures during the last three years were, Rs.13,000 crore, Rs.18,000 crore and Rs.21,000 crore, and this achievement would not have been possible without thesupport of the CM.

The exporters wholeheartedly thanked her encouragement, Shaktivel said.
