Commissioner of Police A. Amalraj, on Monday, felicitated police drivers who fared well during training sessions held for them at the PSG Polytechnic College here.

The Department of Automobile Engineering of the college had arranged for special training sessions for police drivers as it was suggested by the CoP, to help improve their driving skills.

As many as 234 drivers from the city were benefited from the training and were imparted knowledge on advanced technology in vehicles and also about the functions of various spare parts; automatic transmission; safety and first aid.

They were also taught the mechanisms involved in a vehicle and interacted with representatives from car companies and makers.

Participating in the valediction, Commissioner Amalraj distributed certificates and prizes to drivers who performed well during the classes.
